Content Based Image Retrieval Via Structure, Color, and Texture

The use of images permeates almost every discipline today. Professor Aggarwal gave a talk at the University of California at San Diego on the deriving of structure via perceptual grouping, and its use in the classification and retrieval of images. The talk in its entirety, along with questions and answers, is available for viewing.

The talk explaining content based image retrieval can be viewed by following this link.

CIRES

CIRES is a robust content-based image retrieval system based upon a combination of higher-level and lower-level vision principles. It uses structure, color and texture for retrieving and classifying images. Please log on CIRES to try the system.
